Screening starts at 7.45pm (with an introduction to the film)

Based on the true story of four outsiders who saw what the big banks, media and government refused to: the global collapse of the economy. A bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of banking, where everyone and everything is in question. Starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. Hosted in partnership with Resource Productions & Slough Co-operative Film Society.

Reframed project development programme at Lighthouse

Made up of five residential sessions, run at Lighthouse,  Kensington Street, Brighton, between July – October 2017. The programme will support six selected individuals or teams to each develop a project idea.

Applications are invited from any of the following fields:

  • Film, documentary, animation
  • Games
  • Interactive arts or media
  • VR / Augmented Reality / Mixed Reality
  • Immersive Theatre

True Stories Season The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years (2016, Ron Howard)

Screening starts at 7.45pm (with an introduction to the film)

Directed by Ron Howard, a documentary on the Beatles, focusing almost exclusively on their “touring years’ – 1963 to 1966. Includes interviews and press conferences with the Beatles, rare footage and recordings and interviews with people who were influenced by the Beatles. Hosted in partnership with Resource Productions & Slough Co-operative Film Society.

RETRO is evening of experimental films and documentaries from emerging, established and award-winning artists and filmmakers.

Join this evening of eclectic experimental shorts that reflect ‘the old’, whether music or machines, paper or pixel, crass or cool.
