“The way this training has benefited me, is by giving me confidence to organise new and interesting events, studying our audience and what can work in each different cinema, region, and target audience.”

queer_lisboaJonathan from Duke of York’s Picture House, Brighton attended Queer Lisboa Festival

“I saw how another LGBT festival outside of the UK works – especially interesting to see how the films are marketed and what makes the cut. There was a certain freedom to the programme – with titles included that really challenge notions of what queer cinema is an could be.”

DYFF_ICONicky Beaumont from CINECITY attended the Developing your Film Festival course led by the Independent Cinema Office.

“The course has given me more insight into business planning and strategy. This will come in useful when I write funding applications as it has informed me better on how to write the kind of strategy documents that now form part the applications to funders that I work on.”
